How do I apply for an apartment?

You can complete the entire process online or stop into the leasing office to apply in-person.

Where is Block 36 located?

Block 36 is conveniently located at 3636 Coleman Road, just 3.5 miles from MSU in East Lansing, Michigan.

I’m an international student — what do I need to sign my lease?

International students can apply with a qualified cosigner or can pay a deposit equal to two rental installments.

When is the leasing office open?

Monday–Friday: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday: 12–5 p.m.

What does rent include?

Rent includes high-speed wireless internet, water, and sewage.

How do I get to campus?

Our incredible location makes it easy to get to campus! We are just a 10-minute drive or 15-minute bike ride to MSU’s campus. Residents can also catch the CATA bus service every 6 minutes.

Is on-site parking available?

Yes, we have ample parking for both residents and guests.

What floor plans do you offer?

Block 36 offers four-bedroom/four-bathroom floor plans.

Is there a security deposit?

There is not a security deposit.

How do I pay rent?

You’re welcome to pay at the leasing office during business hours by check or money order, or you can pay online!

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month with a grace period until the 4th day of the month. Rent is considered late beginning at 9 a.m. on the 4th of each month. Please note that late fees will start to accrue beginning on the 4th.

What is an individual lease?

An individual lease is a per-bed lease. You sign a lease for a bed in the apartment and share common areas with roommates. This allows you to live with roommates without having to worry about whether they’re going to pay on time.

What is the process to match roommates?

If you’re looking for a roommate, fill out our roommate-matching questionnaire online when you sign your lease. We will use that information to match you and your future roommate. If you already have a roommate selected, we can help sort out the details with that, too!

Do you have an on-site laundry facility?

Each apartment is furnished with its own washer and dryer.

Do you have a maintenance staff?

Yes, we have maintenance available during office hours as well as 24-hour emergency maintenance service.

Do I have to be a student to live here?

No, you do not.
